Basic Contact and Project details are a necessity, but you might need to store information specific to your industry.
Custom Field Examples:

With Custom Fields, you will be able to create an unlimited amount of data fields, to ensure your collected information is organized and reusable. Custom Fields can then be used as Tokens in email and document templates.
Is there a limit to the number of Custom Fields I can have?
No, there is no limit on the number of Custom Fields you can have, or how many can be applied to each Contact or Project.
Can Custom Fields be exported?
Contact Custom Fields can be exported; Project Custom Fields cannot be exported.
